Co.Met. Acciai and Nuova Bassani enforce their productivity and efficiency thanks to Matter’s design and production.
Co.Met. Acciai has completed the installation of a new picking bay, which means a 15% productivity increase.
Nuova Bassani has implemented a new automatic warehouse designed for storing stainless steel products with capacity up to 3.000 tons, which will considerably improve its service.
Trafilix has participated in Industriamoci – Second National Day of Small and Medium Companies.
The initiative, organized by Confindustria, is part of the Business Culture Week and is mainly focused on the goal of communicating and promoting the knowledge of the adhering companies – and of their “culture” too- among students, institutions, press and the community.
Industriamoci, in its 2nd edition, has celebrated Italy’s 150° Anniversary by addressing the young and their professional orientation.
For this occasion, Lucefin Group received the students in its production plant in Esine and stimulated their enthusiasm by showing the theory and practice of production processes.
The new manual on Special and carbon steels published by Lucefin Group is hot off the press.
Third book of the series Knowing steel (Lucefin © 2011), the new manual analyses and deepens processing, treatments, characteristics and control methods of special and carbon steels.
The manual is edited by Domenico Surpi, responsible for the service quality department of Lucefin Group, and represents a useful tool for professionals, complete with tables, technical cards, illustrations and pictures.
The book is available in Italian and, on CD-ROM, in English and German.
The Lucefin Group’s internal training project keeps on having good results.
Interest and participation characterized the presentation of the Lucefin Group’s 2010 financial statements.
At the Oldofredi Castle, President Luigi Buzzi and Vice-president Giorgio Buzzi – along with the company managers – illustrated the annual reports. By analyzing economic and financial situation, new fund and oncoming projects have been examined too.
The guests, however, were not been shown only numbers; they also enjoyed a video on the Group’s history, from its origins to our time. Its growth is highlighted by the new tag Lovin’ Steel, drawn on-stage by the managers (exceptional testimonials to a change in continuity).
Finally, the greetings of President Luigi Buzzi received due attention, remembering the participants the strength of a timeless passion.
The Lucefin Group’s exhibition stand keeps having a great success.
Interpreted and adapted, Lovin’ Steel project takes part, with strength and neatness, in the steel industry major event of the Slovak Republic.
Participating in the XVIII edition of MSV, the international engeneering fair, the Group states its sense of absolute quality and steel passion, and it extends its presence in emerging markets as well.
Trafilix, Tre Valli Acciai, Trafil Czech, Trafitec and Matter participated in the event.
The internal training course organised by the Lucefin Group on “Certification and Mechanical Testing” had a good outcome.
The participants, coming from different companies of the Group, deepened mechanical technology issues.
In particular, they discussed about alphanumeric designation, hot-rolling and drawing, mechanical processing, heat treatments, destructive tests, microscopic examinations and certification.
The next training course on “Stainless Steels and its peculiarities” will take place in July and November 2011.
Infrastrutture Logistica Veneto Orientale (Lucefin Group) sells to Italian Bio Products Srl (Mossi & Ghisolfi Group) part of the industrial complex ex-Teksid of Crescentino (about 140.000 m²), that ILVO bought from Edison and Teksid Spa in 2008/2009.
The area covers more than 500.000 m², with about 80.000 m² of warehouses, and is endowed with quality infrastructures. Its recovery plan includes the establishment of the first production plant of bioethanol in Europe (according to PEC approvation. March 2011).
The laying of the fundation stone in April 12th marks the beginning of the industrial revival of the place. The aim is to add value to the local economy through innovative and ecologically sustainable projects and by curbing the de-industralization that concerned some traditional sectors of the national economy.
An important award has been assigned to Lucefin Group at Made in Steel Fair (Brescia, March 23 – 25) for the category “Best international Stand”, thanks to the use of multilingual communication as well as the interesting matching between art and steel world.
