Presentation of the 2007 Financial Results On July 7, in the renovated Thermal Bath Building of Boario Terme, Brescia the Lucefin Group will present its 2007 financial results to the press. Lucefin’s managers will highlight the company’s performance to its shareholders, administrators as well as representatives from banks and insurance companies.

March saw record shipments at Trafil Czech Trafil Czech reached its best months ever in March 2008 with shipments and order intake exceeding forecast. The company supplies cold-drawn and peeled rounds to customers in Central, Eastern and Northern Europe.

The Lucefin Group takes over Euras from Lucchini Sidermeccanica The contract was signed on March 31, 2008 The Lucefin Group, through its subsidiary Acciai Brianza (Desio-MI), has acquired the Euras Division of Lucchini Sidermeccanica located in Carpiano, near Milano. Through this important acquisition the Lucefin Group enters the Italian market of tool steels distribution.

Lucefin Group and Rail Cargo Austria a strong partneship for the future of logistic division The Lucefin Group and Express Italia, controlled by Rail Cargo Austria, have signed in October and November 2007 a contract that further strengthens the partnership made in 2003 with the establishment of a logistics platform in San Stino di Livenza, in Western Veneto. In 2003 the Lucefin Group and its Austrian partner established the company ILVO in order to build the logistics platform of San Stino di Livenza (area of 130.000 sq, building of 48.000 sq, 3 km of internal rail track) and the company MVO to manages the logistics services. In 2007 the logistics platform of San Stino di Livenza moved more than 600.000 metric tonnes of traffic and Magazzini Desio Brianza, the other logistics platform belonging to the Lucefin group and located North of Milan, moved more than a million tonnes of traffic from the most important European lines. The parnership with the Austrian company has now been re-inforced by a better division of functions betweeen the two parties; the ownership of the platforms, as well as the creation of new ones in the future, is now totally in the hands of  Lucefin while Express Italia fully manages the logistics services. The partnership plans new projects in the logistics division according to the model succesfully experimented with MDB and MVO. Prices in the steel sector continue their upward trend The upward trend for steel prices continues, driven by a strong demand and a scarcity of raw materials. Steel mills have lately been forced to reduce their quotas to their main customers, therefore a likely lack of some products or sizes in the next few months is foreseeable, also in the market of bright products. In keeping with its tradition, Trafilix will keep its customers timely informed on any future developments concerning price movements on its products.

Gala Dinner at Zofin Palace in Prague Glamour and Finance at Lucefin's Gala Dinner Magic moment of the inauguration of Trafil Czech was the dinner gala that took place in the charming Zofin Palace in Prague. 600 Guests, including the Czech Deputy Minister of Industry Mr. Ludek Vanek, the Italian Ambassador in Prague Mr. Fabio Pigliapoco and other Czech and Italian personalities, were stunned by the beauty of the Palace and by the typical Czech dinner. Lucefin has purchased an induction quenching and tempering line for dia 30-160mm and max bar length of nine mt. as well as non destructive control equipment including US and circograph. Both well be installed in TVA and will be operational by winter 2008

The Lucefin Group and Solidarity Lucefin Group goes on its way to social solidarity. The next year Lucefin Group has donated to Esine Hospital a colonoscopy machine and this year the company has donated 3 incubators to the pediatric’s ward of District Hospital

Non destructive Control Machine for Tre Valli Acciai Tre Valli Acciai has purchased a new non destructive control machine from Ecomax in order to operate controls on bars with dia 30-130 mm. It will be operational in spring 2008

Tre Valli Acciai installs a new grinder for medium – large dia bars A new SCHUMAG 3B high speed grinding machine has been ordered. It will grind bars with dia. 30-120mm. at a speed of 6 mt/minute to h6 tolerance

new high speed sawing machine Lucefin has purchased a sawing machine with a cutting time of max 8 sec. for bars with dia 30-100mm. The new machine has blades in hard metal or ceramic tools.

Trafil Czech is going to be equipped with a non destructive control machine Trafil Czech has ordered a Foster non destructive control machine which will allow it to perform controls on bars from 5 to 35mm. dia and will be installed during Q1 2008

A new hall for the Trafilix Distribution Centre in Cividate Camuno Works are under way for the contruction of a new 4000 sq. mt. hall in the distribution centre of Cividate Camuno. The new hall will be equipped with state of the art handling and cutting machinery. Eight loading points will be added in the new hall which will be ready by end of 2007.

Lucefin Group and figurative arts May/June 2007 Franca Ghitti’s book “Iron Memory” will be presented in May in Brescia (Vanvitelliano Hall), in Lovere (Tadini Academy) and soon in Milan (Triennale Palace, lab hall) sponsored by Lucefin Group.
