Steels for chrome-plating

The production cycle for this family of steels is as follows:

• quality control of raw material
• peeling and reeling of bars
• precision grinding in preparation for chrome-plating
• chrome-plating with integrated system in galvanic baths, with electric current reversal to optimise the bond and the compactness of the chromium layer
• final finishing and polishing
• final testing
• packaging and delivery

The most commonly used diameters range from 15 mm to 160 mm, with the most common size being diam. 25 mm.

Uses: pneumatic controls for the automotive industry, hydraulic controls, aeronautics sector, food industry, pharmaceutical industry, weapons industry, bushings, conveyors, hollow shafts, hollow bodies, nuts, rings, etc.
